winyy Issue #81 - 2021年最終号

オミクロン株の感染急拡大の影響で、来年1月頭にラスベガスで開催される予定のCES 2022への出展を取りやめる企業がここに来て急増しています。Google、Amazon、Meta(Facebook)、Microsoft、Intelなどテックジャイアントが取りやめを発表しています。CESはイノベーションや次世代のコンセプト、新商品の発表の場として圧倒的な地位を占めていますが、2021年に引き続きCOVID-19の影響で完全な形で開催されない形となり、Next Big Thingを読み取りにくくなってきています。現時点では私はCESに参加予定ですが、どんな展示会になったのか、しっかり見てきたいと思います。

本号が2021年最終号になります。1年間ありがとうございました。2022年第1号となる#82ではCES2022をレポートしたいと思います。

winyy Issue #81 - Good bye Year 2021, Hello Year 2022

There has been a surge in the number of companies canceling their participation in CES 2022, scheduled to be held in Las Vegas at the beginning of January next year, due to the rapid spread of the Omicron variant. CES is the dominant venue for innovation, next generation concepts, and new product announcements, but as in 2021, COVID-19 has prevented it from being held in its entirety, making it harder to read the Next Big Thing. As of now, I am planning to attend CES, but I would like to take a good look at what kind of exhibition it has become.

This is the last issue of 2021, and I would like to thank you all for your support over the past year, and I will report on CES 2022 in issue #82, the first issue of 2022.
