winyy Issue #76 - Happy Halloween!

今週末はハロウィーンですね。昨年は飾り付けをしていない家も多かったですが、今年は例年通りに戻った気がします。秋が深まり、ベイエリアも大分寒くなってきました。

今週はFacebookが社名をMetaに変更したニュースが大きく報道されました。議会証言などにより傷んだ企業イメージが戻せるでしょうか。また、COP26を前にUberやレンタカー大手のHertzがTeslaに大量発注して、Teslaの時価総額が1兆ドルを越えたというニュースも目立ちました。これから輪をかけてこれらのニュースが出てくるでしょうね。

This weekend is Halloween. Last year, many houses didn't have any decorations, but this year, I think it's back to normal. Autumn is deepening and it's getting much colder in the Bay Area.

This week, the news of Facebook changing its name to Meta was widely reported. I wonder if they will be able to restore their corporate image that was damaged by the congressional testimony. There was also news that Uber and car rental giant Hertz placed a large order with Tesla ahead of COP26, and that Tesla's market capitalization has exceeded $1 trillion. I'm sure we'll be seeing more of these news in the coming weeks in a circle.

The most read news last week was "Tesla will only use iron-based batteries for standard model EVs."
