本日がLA Angelesの最終戦。大谷選手の初打席先制46号HRが出ましたが、第2打席目、4打席目は申告敬遠。残念ながら、ホームラン王にはなりませんでしたが、MVPに期待がかかります。ゲレーロ選手なのか大谷選手なのかというメディア上の論争もありますが、発表を楽しみに待ちましょう。

今週はAmazonのハードウェア新製品が大量に発表されました。まだ荒削りなプロトタイプ的な製品もありますが、野心的な家庭用ロボットなど、ホームセキュリティ会社に移行している、というメディアも興味深いです。イノベーションを第一に考えるAmazonらしい戦略です。家庭用ロボットが家の中で動き回り、ホームセキュリティ装置が配置されれば、家の間取りや生活の様子という今までブラックボックスだった情報がAmazonに蓄積されることになります。

FBIがGoogleの位置情報を使って捜査をしているという報道もありました。すでに1万件の捜査令状を出しているとのこと。デジタル社会のプライバシーの関係からも今後どのように社会に受け入れられていくのか見ていきたいと思います。

Today was the last game in LA Angels. Shohei Ohtani's first at bat was the 46th HR, but his second and fourth at bats were declared walks. Unfortunately, he didn't become the home run king, but he is expected to be the MVP. There is some controversy in the media as to whether it will be Guerrero or Ohtani, but let's wait for the announcement.

This week, Amazon announced a lot of new hardware products. While some of the products are still rough and prototypical, it is interesting to note that the media is also saying that the company is transitioning into a home security company, including an ambitious home robot. This is a strategy that is typical of Amazon, which puts innovation first. As home robots move around the house and home security devices are deployed, Amazon will be able to store information that was previously a black box, such as the layout of the house and how people live.

There have been reports that the FBI is using Google's location data to conduct investigations. They have already issued 10,000 search warrants. I would like to see how this will be accepted by society in the future in terms of privacy in a digital society.
