先週はお休みを頂いておりました。日本は歴史的豪雨の1週間でしたね。被害に会われた方にはお見舞い申し上げます。一方でカリフォルニアは”メガ干ばつ”とも言われる水不足・山火事になっており、気候変動の意味を考えさせられました。

今週のニュースで取り上げましたが、Amazonの石鹸ディスペンサーの発売には感心しました。パンデミック前にはAlexaが入り込めなかった洗面所・ドレスルーム・トレイにAlexaが進出することになります。顧客のペインポイントを捉えながら、プラットフォームの範囲を広げていくAmazonのしたたかさを感じます。

I had a vacation last week. It was a week of historic heavy rains in Japan. I would like to express my sympathy to those who have been affected. On the other hand, California has been experiencing a "mega-drought" of water shortages and wildfires, which made me think about the implications of climate change.

As I mentioned in this week's news, I was impressed with Amazon's launch of soap dispensers. It will allow Alexa to move into bathrooms, dressing rooms, and trays where Alexa could not get into before the pandemic. I feel Amazon's cleverness in expanding the scope of its platform while capturing the pain points of its customers.

The most read news last week was "Culture-as-a-service' could be the next big thing in the workplace."
