ついに100号に到達しました。2020年5月に発行を開始して以来2年、ご愛読頂いている皆様に感謝申し上げます。ありがとうございます！

博士論文の公聴会や最終提出、出張などが重なり、前回99号(6/8)から少し間が空いてしまいましたが、おかげさまで無事教授会で承認頂き、博士学位を頂けることになりました。博士論文提出までは5年かかりましたが、提出から学位授与までは属している研究科として過去最短とのことで嬉しいサプライズです。

安倍元総理の銃撃事件はこちらでも大きく報道されています。街角で呼び止められて「日本人か、PM Abeの件は本当に残念だ」と声を掛けられたり、米国人の経営者からメールをもらったりします。ご本人・ご家族の無念さを思うと本当に悲しいニュースです。心からご冥福を祈りたいと思います。

シリコンバレーでは、Elon MuskのTwitter買収の撤回が大きなニュースです。単にTesla株の現金化に利用しただけでは？という穿った見方もあり、今後の裁判の行方も気になるところです。また、テック企業やスタートアップで採用抑制や解雇が始まっているのも気になります。スタートアップ投資額も前年比20％ダウンになっており、しばらくは景気調整局面になると見られています。

winyy Issue #100 | 100th anniversary issue

Winny has finally reached the 100th issue and I would like to thank all of our readers for their support in the two years since we began publishing in May 2020. Thank you so much!

Due to the combination of the defense, the final submission of my doctoral dissertation, and business trips, it has been a little while since the last issue (June 8), but thanks to all of you, I have been successfully awarded my Ph.D. degree. It took me five years to submit my doctoral dissertation, but the time between submission and conferral of the degree is the shortest in the history of the graduate school I belong to, which is a pleasant surprise.

The assassination of former Prime Minister Abe has been also widely reported here. I have been stopped on street corners and approached by people saying, "Are you Japanese? I am so sorry about PM Abe," and I have received condolences emails from American executives. It is really sad news when I think of the regret of the person and his family. I sincerely pray for his soul rest in peace.
